CARLES PAMIES

Welcome!

My name is Carles Pamies and I am a researcher at the Institute of Public Goods and Policies (IPP) of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), and visiting professor at Sciences Po, Paris.

I hold a PhD in Political Science  (cum laude, international mention) and an MA in International Relations from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), as well as a BA in Political Science and Public Administration from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).

Previously, I have held research and I have taught at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) and the Université de Liège, and I held visiting positions at the Centre d'études européennes et de politique comparée of Sciences Po, and the University of Oxford. I have also been hired in three European projects and another three national projects.

My research focuses on political parties and the representation of migrants, and it has been published in journals such as the American Behavioral Scientist, Democratization, European Political Science, the Journal of Contemporary European Studies, Politics and Governance, the Revista Española de Investigaciones Sociológicas, the Revista Internacional de Sociología, and in chapters in publishers such as Palgrave Macmillan.
